  • Hipster Animals I never was clear what a hipster was. A friend of mine asked me to draw some hipster animals, and this is what I came up with.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Shameless Self Reference These are various pieces of self-reference. Sometimes I write about my inability to get my work done, my occasional lack of self-assuredness, and the woes of being romantically inept. The image with the Robert Crumb look about it was actually colored by Prof. John Jennings -- co-author of "The Hole" and comix extraordinaire.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Ninth Letter Illustrations I did three illustrations for a short story in the Spring 2012 edition of "Ninth Letter" -- The University of Illinois's literary magazine.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • A Dozen Minor Prophets This is a piece of promo art for a graphic novel I am working on currently titled "A Dozen Minor Prophets."     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Die Alone Today I have an odd sense of humor and abhor most advertising so... yes.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • "Marco and Marty" Themes These are some images taken from a drawing exercise I did involving two of my comic characters named Marco and Marty. The exercise involved a hundred different themes to prompt a hundred different comic responses.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Four Dollar Man in a Nervous Room This is a diorama I did for a fine art class I took my junior year. It is titled "Four Dollar Man in a Nervous Room" in homage to Rod Serling. The piece itself is informed by Renaissance period religious iconography. I like to illustrate using a variety of techniques including large-scale dioramas.     2012 Crafts, Fine Arts, Sculpting
  • Red Ink I like to use color in my work but, at times, sparingly. I think you can say a lot with red from the explicit to the intimated.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Careless Bear I watched the "Care Bears" show growing up. I felt they were too... upbeat at times. I have a strange sense of humor.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Mice I like to draw mice, it seems!     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Roving Rover A piece of character design I did for a client's short story.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Sam and Max Homage This is a piece of fan-art of my favorite comic book heroes "Sam and Max," created by Steve Purcell     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Horrible Things Album Art This piece of album art was done for a classmate's band -- "Horrible Things" and their album "Dumb Days." Illustration was done by myself and the layout and lettering was done by Tim Reynolds, the aforementioned classmate.     2012 Cartooning, Illustration, Music
  • Swill Monsters An illustration I did to test out some new markers I bought.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
  • Rudolph the Red-Faced Reindeer A short comic depicting the neurotic life of the world's favorite reindeer.     2012 Cartooning, Drawing, Illustration
